Travel
Information

There are three international airports
in Taiwan. However, to reach the conference venue-Kenting,
the most recommended airport as your final destination would
be the
Kaohsiung International Airport (IATA code: KHH), since
it is located 2 hours drive away from the conference venue.
From the airport, you can take the
city bus (one way fare is 421 Taiwan dollars, TWD) that
travels directly to Kenting and has the final stop
(terminal) located right in front of the Howard Beach
Resort. The drive time for the bus is 2.5 hours. You may
also take a taxi from the airport right in front of the
terminal building which takes about 90 mins for the drive to
the conference site. The fares are approximately 2,200 TWD
(equivalently 70 USD or 50 Euro) one way. More details
regarding the transportation can be found at
https://www.kia.gov.tw/English/
(In addition, you may also plan your travel to arrive at the
Taipei Sungshan International Airport (TSA) or the Taoyuan
International Airport (TPE) at Taipei. If you are the first
time to visit Taiwan, we will suggest that you plan your
travel to stay at Taipei City, the capital of Taiwan, for
1-2 days to enjoy the culture there. From the Taipei City,
you can take the Taiwan High Speed Rail to arrive at the
Kaohsiung Zuoying High Speed Rail Station in 100 mins. From
the station, you can then take the Kenting Express Bus
directly to Howard Beach Resort, with the terminal located
right in front of Howard Resort, in less than 2 hours. Just
exit from Exit 2 of High Speed Rail Station and you will
find the Bus ticket booth selling you the ticket and showing
you where to get on the bus. The bus runs from 8:30 to 19:00
daily with one bus for every 15-30 mins. One way fare is 413
TWD.)
